Fenland

The Trust has identified 3,700 hectares of land in north Huntingdonshire, which includes Woodwalton Fen and Holme Fen National Nature Reserves. The Great Fen Project will restore fenland habitats and link the nature reserves together to create a single large site with multiple benefits. English Nature, the Environment Agency and Huntingdonshire District Council have joined the project partnership. Having already acquired the first two areas of farmland, the project now has a high regional and national profile, and its fund-raising and acquisition strategies are progressing rapidly.
