Our work

The Trust has a rolling development plan that defines what it aims to achieve in the coming three years. It includes the Trust’s mission ‘to protect and improve habitats and biodiversity throughout the three counties and enhance people’s enjoyment and understanding of wildlife’.

Our three main objectives include:

• Acquiring and managing land of a high conservation value.
• Re-creating habitats, which includes creating larger reserves.
• Acquiring and using information to improve our conservation work.

These objectives are supported by:

• Raising the Trust’s profile and building its reputation.
• The importance of ‘people and wildlife’.
• Good resources and infrastructure.
• Generating dependable and sustainable income.
• Sound financial management.
