Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Biological Records Centre

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Biological Records Centre (CPBRC) has been established with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and support from other partner organisations, including the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough.

The main aims of the centre are to:

  • Gather and store information on the wild species, wildlife habitats and protected sites of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
  • Make this information available for use by wildlife and conservation organisations, councils and planning authorities, universities and schools for teaching and research purposes and to answer general enquiries from the public.
  • Encourage people to get involved with wildlife recording, through holding various events and running public wildlife surveys

CPBRC works with a wide range of community groups, including youth groups, schools, village conservation organisations and other conservation groups such as the Wildlife Trust and the National Trust. For more information on how to get involved please contact the community officer on 01954 713571.
