Wildlife Training Workshops
The Wildlife Training Workshops programme includes training which is available to everyone with topics ranging from species identification to habitat management and practical conservation.
For total beginners wishing to learn a new topic, the training programme includes a series of 'Beginning With' and 'Introduction to' workshops covering a range of subjects including birds and bats. These workshops are an excellent start before moving onto other more detailed workshops, if you wish to do so.
A 2010 workshop participant said “The training workshops I attended provided an initial starting point for learning, which enabled me to take my interest further in my own time. This also included volunteering for Wildlife Trust Ecology Group monitoring projects, which I found extremely useful”.
In providing this training, The Wildlife Trust is helping to continue Britain’s rich tradition of amateur naturalists and ensuring that the best known flora and fauna in the world are as well documented in the future as in the past.
