The assets of the Biodiversity Recording and Monitoring Centre, other than the data, are owned by a partnership comprising:
Bedford Borough Council
Bedfordshire County Council
Bedfordshire Natural History Society
English Nature
The Wildife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough
(Data ownership is not normally transferred to the BRMC).

These organizations make various financial contributions to the running of the centre, or contribute in kind. The BRMC is directed by a steering group with representatives from the partner organizations, and managed on a day-to-day basis by the Manager.

It is hosted by the Wildlife Trust at its Bedford office in Priory Country Park's Visitor Centre.

The BRMC is operated by three members of staff (some part-time) comprising

Keith Balmer - Biodiversity Network Officer
Rachel Broomfield - Biodiversity Data Officer
Jackie Ullyett - Biodiversity Data Officer
The centre has no full-time manager, but the Wildlife Trust's Conservation Manager Graham Bellamy acts as their line manager.
