Randalls Farm Wildlife Watch Group is for children aged between 8 and 13 years who are interested in wildlife and the environment. Meetings are led by registered leaders and are held once a month on a Sunday afternoon.
Randalls Farm Greenwatch Group is for young people aged between 13 and 18 years who are interested in wildlife conservation. Meetings are led by registered leaders and are held once a month on a Sunday afternoon.
Youth and community groups can get involved in a variety of tailored activities both on and off site. These include a variety of fun and practical, educational activities, talks, presentations and led walks around the site, and training to discover new skills in identifying, monitoring and managing land for wildlife. Education staff also offer advice to help you make more of local gardens, school and company grounds and other community sites. Friends of Randalls Farm enables people to get involved in practical conservation work to keep Randalls Farm a great place for people and wildlife.
Wildlife Training Workshops give people the opportunity to learn more about different aspects of local wildlife to enjoy and understand the countryside better.
Wildlife Trust Ecology Groups are teams of volunteers covering clusters of nature reserves with similar habitats. Their main activity is fieldwork throughout the year, which requires natural history skills such as species identification, to monitor species and habitats and the way they are managed.
School membership - The Wildlife Trust offers a special programme for schools who wish to support our work and learn more about helping wildlife. Please follow the link for more information.
Volunteering at Randalls Farm Education Centre includes helping to manage the site and assisting the centre staff with school and youth groups. Volunteers do not need to be experts as training will be given.
