Directions

Wellingborough 4 miles. From A45/A6 junction take exit in to Higham Ferrers. South of Market Square turn right into Wharf Road and park at end. Cross footbridge and bear left for 100 m by lake to large footbridge over A45 and River. Reserve entrance is at end of bridge. For Wilson's Pits, head north on the A45. At roundabout where the A45 meets the B465 and Crown Way, turn left into minor road. Turn right into parking area at reserve entrance. No public access between the two reserves.

Bus Northampton to Thrapston via Higham Ferrers (Stagecoach), then a walk.
