Watch and Greenwatch Groups
Wildlife Watch groups are for young people who are curious about the natural world, and keen to get involved and learn more.
Watch Group meetings include activities such as pond-dipping, looking for mini-beasts, bird watching, mammal tracking, Nature Reserve visits, badger and bat watching, arts and crafts and wildlife games.
Watch Groups are for children usually aged between 8 and 12 years. At the discretion of the Watch Group Leader children under 8 years of age may be able to attend Watch meetings, but they must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Greenwatch groups are for young people aged 13 years and above. Conservation tasks and projects undertaken include activities such as butterfly monitoring, and scrub and pond clearance.
Children do not have to be members of Watch to attend group meetings and events, but they are encouraged to join.
