Visit The Wildlife Trust at the Inland Waterways Festival

Take part in some watery wildlife fun in Cambridgeshire this Bank Holiday weekend

Come and meet Wildlife Trust staff and volunteers from the Huntingdon Local Members Group at the Inland Waterways Festival at St Ives from Saturday 25 until Monday 27 August. We will be there in force with all things related to wetland wildlife. You will have chance to get close to river wildlife, make model dragonflies, and find out more about the Great Fen Project and other exciting aspects of Wildlife Trust's work.

The Inland Waterways Festival is a major event in the boating calendar with over 300 boats and thousands of boating enthusiasts and other visitors expected to converge on the riverside area of St Ives over the bank holiday weekend. The festival will have something for everyone with new boats, chandlery, live bands, morris sides and Irish dancers, falconry displays, boat rides, traditional fairground, circus skills, classic cars and, of course, the Great Wild West Show in the arena every day.

Families are catered for with a full programme of Wild over Waterways activities for children of all ages. Children receive a passport that they take to free activity points around the festival site. Every time they take part in an activity they receive a sticker on their passport enabling them to claim a small prize when they've finished/
