Go wild this spring!
Young nature nuts are encouraged to get involved
Young nature fans keen to explore their surroundings and get closer to wildlife can look forward to the spring edition of Watchword, out this week.
Watchword, the magazine available exclusively to junior members of The Wildlife Trusts, is bursting with ideas for children to get involved with nature through events such as Dawn Chorus Day, which is happening on 4 May. The guide to the bird songs and sounds that make up the chorus will inspire any young nature lover to get out of bed a little earlier that day.
The magazine is also jam-packed with wildlife stories which will capture the wildest imagination and fascinating facts that will amaze even the biggest nature nuts. From the search for basking sharks in our seas to the common garden tree that’s home to a host of amazing creatures.
In this edition, Watch members are encouraged to send their photos, letters and pictures of wildlife to into the gallery, with the chance of winning a Nick Baker Explorer Kit and Bug Hunting pack. So if you want to know what’s happening outside your window this spring and how you can get more involved with wildlife, join Wildlife Watch to receive Watchword magazine! Visit www.wildlifetrusts.org or email watch@wildlifetrusts.org for more information.
Watchword magazine is produced by The Wildlife Trusts and sent out to the 135,000 members of Wildlife Watch. Wildlife Watch is the Trusts’ environmental action club for kids with hundreds of local groups where young people can get stuck into environmental activities.
