Local company multiplies money for biodiversity
Donation releases ten times the amount from Biffaward
A local garage and corporate supporters, IN'n'OUT, gave £700 towards the Nene Valley Project. This donation in turn released ten times the amount in grant money for The Wildlife Trust from Biffaward, a multi-million pound environment fund managed, which uses landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services.
This funding scheme requires a Third Party Contribution of 10% in order to 'unlock' the grant. IN'n'OUT’s donation of £700 therefore released ten times its value, £7,000 to the Wildlife Trust.
The Nene Valley project improved ex-gravel pits, Storton’s Pits and Summer Leys, and fantastic wetlands Barnes Meadow and Kingsthorpe Meadow.
Anna Bradnam, corporate partnership manager for The Wildlife Trust said, “This is a fantastic example of how local companies can support our work.”
IN 'n' OUT is a chain of Drive-Thru XPRESS Servicing, MOT and Valet centres. Customers can simply turn up at the centres without an appointment for an MOT or car servicing in under 30 minutes.
