Packed programme of wild events for Peterborough
The Wildlife Trust is hosting an array of events for this year's Peterborough Green Festival, which runs from Saturday 23 May to Sunday 7 June inclusive and promises to be an exciting time with lots going on throughout the two weeks.
Flying the flag of environmental agendas and actions, Peterborough Green Festival aims to celebrate the wider environment and promote environmental initiatives, giving local people an opportunity to learn about and participate in enhancing Peterborough as a safer, greener place to live and work.
The event provides a focus for highlighting Peterborough’s environment to local opinion formers and decision makers, businesses, schools and other elements of the local community. Indeed, this year’s event is supported by Trust corporate members Vine House Farm and Riverford Organics.
Formerly known as Peterborough Environment Week this major event has been running annually now for 15 years.
The events throughout the festival are spread across Peterborough and surrounding areas so there is sure to be something going on near you:
- Peterborough Green Festival Launch on Saturday 23 May, 10am - 4pm
- Great Fen Family Fun Day on Wednesday 27 May, 1pm - 5pm
- Discover the Great Fen on Saturday 30 May, 2pm - 4pm
