What’s new?

06 November 2009

We need your help!

Why not get out and about this winter and help local wildlife habitats too…

Your Wildlife Trust in Northamptonshire is calling for more volunteers to help our reserve management teams.

There’s something for everyone to get involved….a ‘Sunday Work Party’ could be the option for those who work in the week.  It takes place from 10-3pm on the second Sunday of every month.

Or you could join our Midweek programme where volunteers take part in a whole host of activities including scrub clearance and woodland management.

You’ll get involved on a variety of reserves so it’s a great way to see the diversity of areas we care for including wetland and woodlands.

If you’re not experienced there’s no need to worry as training will be provided and tools too.  Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!

For more information on spending the day with your local Wildlife Trust contact Lisa Adams on 01604 405285.

If you’re not in Northamptonshire but still want to get involved visit the events pages of our website http://www.wildlifebcnp.org/events.php to find out what opportunities there are in your area.

About the trust:

Bringing people together to take action for wildlife is the Trust’s mission. We manage 129 nature reserves - all of them free to visit – and 95% of the population live within five miles of one of our reserves. We are working to make these wildlife havens bigger, better and more joined-up – vital to help wildlife to adapt to a changing climate. By gathering valuable information about wildlife and working with other landowners the Trust also monitors and safeguards wildlife beyond the boundary of its reserves.
