Wildlife wonders activity afternoon

The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough would like to invite families to the launch of the exciting new Farcet Wildlife Watch group.

This event will take place on:

Wednesday 2nd June
 2pm-4pm
Farcet Village Hall

Come along for a fun packed wildlife afternoon and explore the natural world by having a go at a number of activities including a nature detective’s quiz, natural arts andcrafts and lots more! Learn about bees with local bee expert. There is a suggested donation of £2 per person or £5 per family. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Following the launch event, the Farcet Wildlife Watch group will meet regularly once a month. Wildlife Watch is for children aged 8-12 years old. The groups are run by at least two fully registered Watch Leaders and are supported by the Wildlife Trust.

Adults we need your help!

In order to set up a Wildlife Watch group in Farcet we need adult volunteers who are willing to register as Wildlife Watch helpers. In order to register, adults need to be 18 years old or over, complete an application form and crb form and provide the names of two referees. Helpers receive full training from the Wildlife Trust, as well as a Wildlife Watch pack, which provides guidance on planning and running Watch meetings.

If you would like to help with Wildlife Watch, or if you would like to attend Watch meetings, please contact Amanda Swinford (tel: 07736 921471 or email: amanda.swinford@wildlifebcnp.org).  You can also become a member of the Wildlife Trust and receive fantastic mailings and information about wildlife activities in your local area. Please see our website for more information: http://www.wildlifebcnp.org
