Step Out for Stroke at Lings Local Nature Reserve!
This Saturday, 22 May, The Stroke Association is working with The Wildlife Trust to host a Step Out for Stroke Event at Lings Local Nature Reserve in East Northampton.
Stroke is the third biggest killer in the UK and the walk is a great way to raise crucial funds for the Stroke Association and also discover some of the fantastic wildlife that can be seen at Lings LNR.
The circular route is just under a mile in length, is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and there are also a number of benches as you go round; meaning that walkers can travel at their own pace.
Louise Tuffin, Community Involvement Officer at The Wildlife Trust says “I’m delighted to be working in association with The Stroke Association to put on this Step Out for Stroke event.
It is an opportunity for people to discover Lings Local Nature Reserve and find out more about the work of The Wildlife Trust as well as helping raise the profile of another charity.
The Education Centre will also be open for teas and coffees, and there will be natural arts and crafts activities for children.
The walk begins at 10.30am. For more information on how to participate please contact Anita Tilley on 01604 687749.
