What’s new?

15 November 2006

Stuck for what to give for Christmas this year?

Fed up with foraging for family and friends' festive gifts which create piles of plastic packaging?

This year buy presents which help, rather than harm, the environment - The Wildlife Trust offers wild and worthy alternatives!

Give the present of a better future for the environment with a gift membership for the wildlife lover in your family. Membership ranges from £27 for an individual to £42 for family membership. Members receive the newsletter from their local Trust, three times a year, the national magazine three times a year, a diary of events plus, a real sense that you are doing something for local wildlife.

For gift membership for friends or family living in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough, please follow the becoming a member link.

For gift membership for friends or family who live outside our local area, please visit the national Wildlife Trusts website to contact the appropriate Trust.

Access your favourite websites and retailers through www.buy.at/wildlifebcnp and the Wildlife Trust will receive a donation for every purchase you make, which we will use for local wildlife conservation, and our education and community work.

Getting a new mobile phone for Christmas? Send your old one to Jonathan Leadley at the Cambridgeshire office, and we can recycle it for you. The Trust receives a donation for every phone recycled, which we can spend on local wildlife conservation.

Will you be feeding your garden birds this winter? Buy your bird food from Vine House Farm or Ernest Charles and the Wildlife Trust will receive a donation for every purchase (Please mention The Wildlife Trust when you order from Vine House Farm to enable us to receive the donation).

Printing Christmas cards at home? Please send all empty printer cartridges to Jonathan Leadley at the Cambridgeshire office and we will recycle them for you. We receive a donation for each one.

Fancy a piece of cheese with your Christmas cake?

Mention the Wildlife Trust when you buy your cheese from The Cambridge Cheese Company on All Saints Passage, Cambridge, and the Trust will receive a donation for each purchase. You can buy a selection of other festive and speciality foods there too, including quality sausages to accompany your Christmas dinner!
