Waitrose helps local wildlife
Cambridge company becomes a corporate member
Waitrose in Trumpington have pledged to help local wildlife and have demonstrated their support by becoming corporate members of the Wildlife Trust, thanks to one staff member.
The new partnership between the Wildlife Trust and Waitrose was brought about by Alan Pool, the meat specialist at the food counters in Waitrose, Trumpington. As an individual member of the Trust, Alan became aware of the charity’s widespread work for wildlife and communities in the area, and suggested the opportunity for a new partnership to his bosses.
Emma Pollard, business development manager said, “We are delighted that Waitrose in Trumpington have chosen to support our work through corporate membership. We are particularly grateful to Alan, who, both as an individual member of the Wildlife Trust and as a staff member of Waitrose, has shown that each person can make a big difference to the work we can achieve in our local area.”
The Wildlife Trust works with all kinds of businesses, large and small.
