The Wildlife Trust takes part in a watery Festival

Come along to enjoy the fun over the August Bank Holiday weekend!

The biggest event in Huntingdonshire this summer is the National Festival and Boat Show staged by the Inland Waterways Association on Hemingford Meadow in St. Ives over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Hundreds of boats and exhibitors as well as 25,000 people are expected over the three days to take part in a full program of entertainment for all the family.

The Wildlife Trust will have a big stand at the festival, and will be offering activities for children, such as pond dipping and dragonfly making. There will be full-colour displays of Trust activities,  book sales, a quiz and lots of opportunities to find out more about our work and to join the Trust. The Hunts area local group of the Wildlife Trust will be organising guided walks on the Friday afternoon, before the festival opens and again, on the Sunday afternoon, as well as staffing the stand over the weekend.

The Festival takes place from 25 to 27 August 2007 and will be an entertaining weekend for both boat owners and land-lubbers alike and an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Wildlife Trust. If you would like more information or would like to help out,  please contact George Cottam on 01480 450809.
